Solution

Calculate volumes

Outline the zone and choose the reference: a plane, a base level or the design surface. You get the cut and fill volumes, with a map of each zone.

What it's for

Calculate cut and fill volumes.

Compare the surveyed ground with a plane, a base level or the design surface, and know how much there is to cut or fill. It also works for stockpiles and deposits, accurate to 5 cm.

What you need

A digital terrain model and the reference for the calculation.

Upload the flight data or import the model already processed. To compare with the design, also import the design surface. For 5 cm accuracy, use ground control points in the survey or an RTK drone.

  • Digital terrain model and reference surface

Step by step

    Process

    Turn data into results.

  3. 03

    Compare

Compare surveys and see what changed.

  4. 04

Results

The volume, the map and the reference in one record.

Each calculation is kept with the zone, the reference used and the survey it came from, ready to look up, share or export.

  • Cut and fill volume in m³

  • Automatic cut and fill map by zone

  • Automatic report with the volumes

  • Export via API, as vector and raster

Important note. Use in reports or billing requires validation against project criteria.

FAQ

What people usually ask.

Which references can I use for the calculation?

A horizontal plane, a base level or the design surface.

Can I calculate the volume of a stockpile?

Yes. Outline the stockpile and use the base plane or a level as the reference.

What does the cut and fill map show?

It shows, zone by zone, where the ground is above the reference (fill) and where it is below (cut), in different colours.

Do I need ground control points?

They are not required: the volume is calculated without them. With ground control points in the survey or RTK, accuracy reaches 5 cm.
